Ben Davis Photography Hi! I'm Ben and I'm a wedding photographer. I love to shoot authentic and creative images that capture all the fun of the day as it unfolds. I've been a wedding photographer for over 10 years and it's an absolute pleasure and privilege to play a part in so many awesome celebrations. I'm based in Peterborough, where I live with my fiance Alice and our daughters Poppy & Laurel.

As a Cambridgeshire wedding photographer I photograph lots of weddings throughout the county, as well as across Norfolk, London, Stamford & Rutland; and even abroad too. My style is anchored in documentary storytelling. I spent the first six years of my career working as a photojournalist, and then the following two for the UK's biggest photography magazine.

Now I work for you! Couples who want a fun, friendly and relaxed photographer to capture natural and creative images of their wedding day. If you'd like to see more of my work and to get a flavour for the full day coverage then take a look through some of my recent posts.

In that time I've worked for newspapers, magazines and I've been fully freelance since 2015. My work has been published around the world in print, on billboards, book covers and on too many websites to count. In 2012 I won 'Photographer of the Year' at the EDF Energy East of England Media Awards, having finished runner up the year before.

To me, wedding photography isn't about stiff group shots, cheesy poses or interrupting the days events. I believe it's about capturing all the moments and details of your day in a relaxed and unobtrusive way. My wedding photography is a blend of natural moments filled with happiness, relaxed portraits and fun group shots. Before I was a full time wedding photographer I worked as an award-winning photojournalist, and my experience working for newspapers and magazines means I aim to tell the story of every wedding in a creative and imaginative way.

read more › My all inclusive package includes unlimited photographic coverage on your wedding day, a pre-wedding shoot and a deluxe 10x10 fine art album in a keepsake box with a USB. Alternatively you can pick and choose the elements that best suit your day. Please note this option is only available for mid-week weddings during April to September, or any date from October to March. After we've discussed your wedding plans in detail and you've decided you're ready to book one of my packages I ask for a 300 deposit to secure your chosen date, with the remaining balance due anytime up to 14 days before your wedding.

There's no better way to look through your wedding photos than with a Storybook album. You select the images you'd like to include and I'll create a beautiful photobook to treasure forever. An awesome addition to the evening entertainment; two hours of fancy dress fun for you and your guests. If you'd like extra coverage of the groom's morning preparations or extra angles and details throughout the ceremony or the rest of the day then consider adding a second photographer.

It's a great way to have a practice, and as such you'll be much more confident and relaxed on your wedding day; making for better pictures! I'll subtly guide you through a series of fun and natural poses and you'll barely be aware you're having your photo taken. Nothing forced, nothing cheesey, but just real and romantic moments captured creatively. A pre-wedding shoot is perfect for anyone who wants some professional photos before the big day itself.

The images are printed on thick photographic card and the pages lay flat for uninterrupted viewing, and the padded hardback covers are both beautiful yet durable. All photobooks come with 60 pages and are available in 10x10", 12x8" and 12x12" sizes. Stunning albums also benefit from a beautiful box to keep them safe from dust and scuffs.

It comes with a giant trunk packed full of fancy dress props including hats, masks, whigs, glasses, inflatables and other accessories. The photobooth consists of a wide background (2-3m) which can be adapted to suit, and studio lights operated by me. And as the photos are taken by a professional photographer rather than an automated iPad, the quality is far superior. The photobooth is open for 2 hours during the evening reception.

Perhaps you'd like extra coverage of the Groom's morning preparations and you're not getting ready at the same venue, maybe you'd like extra angles throughout your ceremony or it could be that you're planning a large wedding with over 100 guests. If any of these reasons ring true, then you should consider adding an extra photographer to your package.

If you'd like to know more about my wedding photography or to find out my availability for your chosen date then please don't hesitate to get in touch - I'd love to hear from you. Whether you're planning a wedding or a celebration in Cambridgeshire, or indeed anywhere in the UK - or even the world - then feel free to contact me through my site, or directly on phone or email. I look forward to finding out more about your day!
