X-COPTERS AERIAL MEDIA is a Cambridge and Cambridgeshire based drone aerial photography and video company. Drones offer a view of the world never before seen without movie style budgets.

Our multi-rotor drones can operate up to 400ft giving you a unique view of the world from above. All of our pilots are CAP-C qualified and have Permission for Commercial Operations granted by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority CAA ID 2947) ensuring the highest standards in safety and operations. We are fully insured with 5,000,000 public liability cover and have been operating commercially since 2015.

We undertake many different types of projects for our clients throughout the UK and are continually surprised at the range and ingenuity of filmimg and photography required. We can achieve most sorts of aerial photography - even indoors or at night - that can be achieved by our remotely piloted unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying at up to 400 feet high.

read more › YES X-COPTERS has the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) "Permission for Commercial Operations" (PfCO) approval. PfCO means as a licensed commercial operator of UAV's (unmanned aerial vehicles) we are governed and regulated by the CAA and have to operate in accordance with our Operations Manual. The Civil Aviation PfCO is a requirement for anyone flying drones for commercial use in the UK. Yes X-COPTERS pilots are very experienced and have passed the CAA-approved exams and flight assessments. All our pilots have completed a course and qualification from Cambridge UAV Academy, a National Qualified Entity (NQE), which means our pliots have completed a syllabus and course that is approved by the CAA.

read more › X-COPTERS have filmed many sporting events and activities. These can be a challenge from a safety point of view because of the crowds and general public. We adhere to the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations. This means not flying any closer than 50 meters from people unless they're under our control. However creative use of lenses and choice of take off and landing locations can usually acheive the required shots - safely. We recently worked alongside St Ives Rowing Club to film and produce a promotional video of their summer regatta.

read more › Working very closely with the Friends of Holt Island we produced an introductory video to help promote the Holt Island Nature Reserve in St Ives Cambridgeshire. It was shot between September and December and so shows the reserve in its winter clothes. We produced, directed and edited the entire project which has resulted in a major boost for the visitor experience. We were given exclusive access to the Island to facilitate the aerial and ground based filming. All post-production was carried out in our studio in St Ives.
