Jason Baxter Media
Jason Baxter is a professional award winning photographer and author based in Edinburgh, having worked in the media for over 25 years. A belief in providing creative imagery that evokes feeling, serenity and the pure beauty of nature. Going to the greatest of lengths to achieve and find the ultimate picture; venturing out into the landscape on remote mountainsides in temperatures of -35 deg in the depths of winter in near Arctic conditions.

This enthusiasm has won me clients such as BAA, Historic Scotland, The National Trust for Scotland and for the EU documenting Outdoor Tourism projects in IRE. My first book published by Birlin in 2004 'Edinburgh - A New Perspective' was used by Edinburgh City Council as the civic gift of choice over 4 years for all visiting dignitaries. This passion and commitment to my art now see's me working with Gleneagles Hotel in rural Perthshire providing exclusive and unique photography experiences for VIP guests.

For a finer feel and look to my photography, I have invested into a medium format Phase One digital back to document my love of nature in finer detail.
This equipment brings a greater depth and feel to my work as it means each and every image has not been rushed, both in the field when shooting and in post production using Capture One software to maximise image quality.
As a result, we are limiting each photograph to a Limited Edition print run of only 15 each, each print comes signed and editioned from the finest art printers in Edinburgh.
I've been documenting Scotland's Landscape for over 25 years, it will come as no surprise that I have a love and a fascination for Scotland's natural beauty.
Here you can enjoy and purchase just a few of my chosen selected images across the years.
I've selected 30 images across the years that represent my personal journey into the Scottish Landscape.
These are all open edition prints, for limited edition higher specification imagery, try the Phase One gallery.
Having lived in the Scottish Borders for 10 years before moving back to the capital, I was constantly amazed as the wide variety of remote landscapes on offer, from the rugged hills to the west and stunning coastline to the east with beautiful rolling hills in between.
From the largest mountain in the south of Scotland to a world famous nature reserve at St Abbs, this region is a constant wonder of opportunity for the landscape photographer.
Be sure the next time you need your highland fix to think about trying new landscapes and head for the Scottish Borders, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The city of Edinburgh is home for me, I adore it's landscape, it's history and it's architecture.
My career was boosted early on by my first book 'Edinburgh - A New Perspective' so for me this city has provided many opportunities that I never thought possible.
This is my home and I owe this city alot.
Glencoe is a photographers dream, from epic landscapes overlooking Rannoch Moor at sunrise to heading down the A82 as the Buachaille Etive Mor comes into view as your journey heads down into the historic Glencoe Valley.
This wild region of Scotland is know for it's epic mountainscapes and often stormy weather conditions which in itself can and does challenge even the most hardy of Landscape Photographers, but when you time it right and in the right place nature will reward your patience and tenacity.
