Ian Arthur Wedding Photography
I left school in 1975 with little more than a mind full of dreams and a head full of hair. In those days of Ziggy Stardust, platform shoes, and ridiculously flared trousers I just couldn't imagine that one day I would be a professional photographer, but photography is a bit like that "crazy little thing called love" as it slowly lures you and then once it has you, it just doesn't let you go.

An early career in marine engineering took me travelling the world on ships, but then I started taking pictures every country I visited whci set off this fascination with taking pictures and always trying to take better pictures. After a few years I started to think that being a photographer could be more fun than engineering, so in 1983 I went to a college to learn to be a photographer.

I became a fully qualified photographer in 1994 and then in 1987 I also qualified as an Associate in the British Institute of Professional Photography, achievements which I am still massively proud of today. Surprisingly, the couple loved their pictures and so did I - and from that moment on I knew I was always going to photograph weddings in one way or another.
Services
These are a selection of my favourite pictures from some of my weddings.
On the morning of your wedding, you can't do any more than you've already done.
Everything that you have worked on and planned has been done so now its time to relax and just go with the flow.
Be a passenger.! Some things may go wrong but as long as YOU are.
1. C'mon Guy's, it's all about the bride!
From deciding the date to the last dance of the evening, your job is to ensure the bride is happy.
That means supporting her decisions, fixing any problems that come up (ideally without her even knowing it's happened), and.
Whether it's the look of love, the coming together of generations, a time to celebrate or a simple case of recording the occasion, I would love to be your photographer and be able to capture those moments so you have something to look back on to remember the day.
I provide portrait photographs for individuals, couples and families in Glasgow or Loch Lomond.
I do not use a studio for my portrait work but there are many beautiful outdoor settings in these areas of Scotland which I love to use as settings, and wherever possible, I aim to shoot in natural light as I believe this offers the best opportunity to capture the mood and the nature of the special occasion.
