Hi I'm Anthony Higginson, a Lancashire wedding photographer based in Preston. I have been doing wedding photography for many years now and cover all of Lancashire from Ribble Valley and other great locations in the north west of England. I capture the most treasured moments from your special day with a documentary style of photography. I have worked at many stunning wedding venues throughout Lancashire, including the Lake District and Cheshire.

I love nothing more than capturing the natural moments of your wedding day as it unfolds. No matter the venue, whether at a big grand estate, a tipi or a marquee in a field full of cows, I thrive on the challenge of supplying you with a selection of stunning wedding photos in my unique style which really tell the story of the whole day. Your wedding is the most memorable and emotional day you will experience.

I pride myself in being a very conscientious and creative wedding photographer. I work to capture the real moments: the pride in a father's face seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time, the groom's face as he watches her walk down the aisle.

Although I shoot in a documentary style, I interact with people on the day like a wedding guest, having a laugh and generally fitting in with the crowd. Weddings can be quite intimate gatherings, with you surrounded by close friends and family, so my aim is to really fit in with the day. I find that by having this approach, not only does it allow me to get in amongst the action for the magic moments, but people don't feel like I'm intruding.

read more › Documentary, or natural wedding photography, basically means that I will be photographing the majority of your wedding day as it genuinely and naturally happens - in real-time. For example, the photos of the groom putting on his cuff links will be of him actually putting on his cuff links and not staged versions! The photos of the bride putting on her veil will be the same! I don't set these things up, and I believe wedding photographs have far more power and authenticity if they are real moments.

When documenting a wedding from beginning to end, I use a full range of images including details, portraits, groups shots and of course the most important natural candid photos, which is what I specialise in.
