My name is Dilys Hackett and I am the photographer behind Dilys Photography. I have lived in Pembrokeshire for 50 years and have spent many of them exploring the coastline with my camera. Originally from Milford Haven, I moved to Saundersfoot when I opened my Gallery in 2014. Since as far back as I can remember, I have always had a passion for art.
I spent many hours as a child making pencil drawings and painting anything that took my interest. I found a sense of calm and fulfilment being able to express myself in a picture. I started taking photos as an aid to my art but the more I experimented with photography, I realised I had found a new passion. Each photograph I take has a personal meaning for me.
I aim to capture a feeling rather than just an image which is why my photos are colourful and optimistic, reflecting my enthusiasm and positive feelings towards the area. I enjoy sharing my photos. I want other people to see the beauty in our surroundings as I see it. After spending many years selling my photography through various outlets in Pembrokeshire and many summer's selling my pictures from a 'pop up' street gallery in Tenby, I was able to establish a name for myself as a landscape photographer.

The gallery has enabled me to grow my photography business and expand into showcasing other artwork by locally based artists.
I wanted the gallery to reflect not only my work but my personality so you will always have a friendly welcome and a comfy sofa to relax as you take your time looking at all the artwork on display.
I like to play music in the gallery to give a more informal feel and there is always a treat on the counter for my well behaved dog visitors!
You will find my very friendly, partially blind, 13 year old Cocker Spaniel, Harvey (full title: Harvey Hound - Photographer's Assistant) behind the counter, eager to make friends with everyone who comes in, either human or K9.

Photographs are available to purchase in two sizes online (a larger size is available in store only).
Both sizes are UK standard, to fit frames 16" x 20" & 16" x 12" (overall size including mount board).
Both 'Slices' and Panoramic photographs are only currently available to fit frame size 22" x 9".
Larger options will be available at a later date.
Photographs are printed on a heavyweight, semi-gloss archival paper using permanent 4K pigment ink so are guaranteed not to fade when displayed under glass.
