Blink and your wedding day will be over. If all you can remember is being posed for endless photos, that would be a sad memory to retain. Wouldn't it be far better if you remembered chatting, laughing and enjoying the company of your family and friends, and at the same time had a great collection of those story-telling moments captured for posterity?

This is my aim as a wedding photographer. To help you relax and enjoy your day, my shooting style focuses on photographing people and their interactions with each other. The love and romance between you both. The natural, unguarded, and genuine moments that happen with your family and friends. Capturing the story-telling frames that stand the test of time.

No fussing or faffing about taking endless posed photos. There are so many unique and beautiful venues in and around Birmingham, you'll be spoilt for choice. There are Stately Homes. Unique and quirky city centre venues. A hotel with a moat. Marquee venues. A cave wedding venue. Castle wedding venues.

Which is ideal as we often cat-sit for our neighbours when they're away. I love silly jokes. My current favourite comedian is Tim Vine with his silly puns like: "I've decided to sell my Hoover - it was just collecting dust." or "My mate's motto was: "Always leave the theatre with them wanting more!" I love languages.

My weddings have ranged from the small intimate wedding with just a few special guests to several hundreds in attendance at a grand cathedral. From the local wedding on my door-step to far flung places like Mexico and the Caribbean. You'll see that my style is as a natural story-teller, shooting in a mixture of black and white and colour images, capturing the natural, unforced and spontaneous moments.

If you live in Birmingham you'll need to book an appointment to give notice at Birmingham Register Office. If you don't live in Birmingham but wish to get married in Birmingham you must give notice to the local authority for the area you live in instead. There's plenty of near-by street parking and you can pay either by coins or using the your phone with the appropriate parking app.

Being born and raised in the area and being a Birmingham wedding photographer has it's advantages, as I know the area like the back of my hand and can share with you a few ideas to consider when searching for somewhere to get married. This is a list of the more well-known venues in the area that I gladly recommend for you to consider.

So I thought I'd share the best venues around to help you find a suitable place to host your wedding. If you're searching for a stately home, rustic wedding barn, castle wedding venue, a modern hotel or quiet country venue, you'll find them and more on my list. This list of Best Wedding Venues is of course subjective, as everyone will have their own favourites that they feel should be included.

I've been a wedding photographer for over 25 years now and over that time, as you can imagine, I've covered many weddings. I've noticed that those weddings that run smoothly all have a common theme. While those that could have been better organised weddings and so don't run smoothly are usually for a handful of the same reasons. More than likely this is your first time planning a wedding, and you're probably thinking 'where do I start?'

The idea is to present a factual record of a story without interfering, like a news reporter. This means an observer can look through a set of images and get a true understanding of what exactly happened, rather than 'what did the photographer make people do'. This is my main approach for wedding photography, meaning I won't spend all day posing you for formal photographs, but instead I'll provide you with a faithful record of what really happened at your wedding.

I'll then continue until your first dance in the evening and beyond, with up to 15 hours coverage, to make sure your celebrations are sufficiently covered. If you don't need that many hours, I also have 10 or 6 hours coverage options. Again, you choose my start time according to your wedding schedule. If neither of these options fit your needs, and you'd like a more personalised quote, get in touch with what you have in mind and I'll send over the details for you.

Below you'll find a small selection of these messages sent, which I always appreciate. These are so beautiful! Incredible Clive! Thank you! They are so stunning! We are blown away! You took the most gorgeous pictures we could of dreamed of! So wonderful to see and relive our day. The pictures are amazing. John really loves the photos too, and he usually doesn't like photos of him or having his picture taken.

So if you don't hear back by then, please check your junk mail folder, as sometimes email replies can be sent there by mistake. Alternatively, leave a mobile number too so I can confirm receipt of your message and let you know that an email reply has been sent.
