Murray Photography My name is David Murray, I'm a pure documentary wedding photographer based in the centre of the UK in Cheshire. I am close by to photograph weddings in Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and all over the North West. I also extensively travel to different parts of the UK, working in London many times each year. Also photographing weddings has taken me abroad and I've photographed weddings in France, Spain and Ireland.

I shoot weddings in a way that blends documentary photography with an artistic edge, very different from the mainstream wedding photographer. I am sought after by clients who want fantastic photography without the photographer having any input on their day. Apart from a small number of groups and portraits I don't control, direct or prompt my clients and I work purely as a skilled observer.

My work has been called emotive and beautiful, in fact Professional Photographer Magazine have listed me as one of 'The top 10 UK Wedding Photographers. Working from home in Cheshire I have photographed over 350 weddings to date, from Castles in Scotland to Large country Houses in the English countryside.

I believe pictures are an art, a precious moment in time that can never be recaptured. A million miles away from the mainstream wedding photographer in approach and end result, I'm hired by discerning clients who want the very best in wedding photography; by those who want beautiful, powerful and timeless images that tell a complete story of their special day.

Working alone, I won't control you, I won't prompt you or tell you to smile or hug somebody, and I won't impose my personality on your day. This results in a day that belongs entirely to you, your friends and family. Of course, I'm more than happy to photograph some group shots and portraits of you both, but I don't want you to look at your pictures and feel that they don't reflect you and your loved ones, that somehow they were contrived.

I'm not too keen on having my photograph taken, how do you deal with this? Lots of people aren't keen on being in front of the camera. However the way I work means that you will be unaware that I'm taking your picture as I don't control, direct or prompt you. So many of my clients tell me that they forgot I was there and just had a fantastic day.
